Frequently asked questions
The essentials about using Tabithread.
Can I use Tabithread for free?
Tabithread is currently free to use. Premium features or other paid options may be considered in the future, but the core travel-journal service will remain free for the time being.
Which devices are supported?
Tabithread is a responsive web application for modern smartphone and desktop browsers. There is currently no separate native mobile app.
How do I create an account?
Register with an email address and password or with a Google account. If you choose email registration, open the link in the verification email before you begin using the service.
Who can read a journal I publish?
Anyone with its URL can read a published journal without logging in. Published journals also appear in the newest-first public list and in free-text searches of titles and summaries.
Can I keep every record private?
Yes. Publishing is optional, so a record can remain visible only to you. You can also return a published journal to private status later.
Do I have to share my location?
No. Locations for spots and travel posts are always optional. You can choose the default for new posts in your profile, and the browser requests your current location only when you allow it.
How are photos handled?
You can upload JPEG, PNG, and WebP images; GIF is not supported. Photos are treated as data owned by your account and can be reused across trips. A photo inserted into a published journal becomes visible on that public page.
What happens when I delete my account?
Deleting your account also deletes the account and the travel records you created.
